🎉 2025-26 First Semester School Highlights: Author Visits, Iron Chef, Attendance Work, and Celebrations

Legendary Author Visit at LHA!

Our 2nd graders welcomed former WDSU Chief Meteorologist Margaret Orr for a special reading of Scrim My Tail: As Told to Margaret Orr. She brought the adventures of our hometown hero, Scrim, to life and every student left with their own copy of the book, complete with Scrim’s signature!

Annual Iron Chef Competition at Green!

Seventh graders stepped into the kitchen with local chefs for one of ESYNOLA’s most beloved traditions: the Iron Chef Competition! Teams crafted inventive dishes all inspired by a single mystery ingredient: sweet potato. We’re grateful to the chefs who made this day unforgettable, and we’re sending a huge shoutout to Chef Todd Pulsinelli, Culinary Director at LeBLANC+SMITH, and his 7th grade team for earning the top spot with their award-winning gnocchi.
