Mental Health Support:

The Louisiana Department of Health has created a “Keep Calm Through COVID” hotline (1-866-310-7977) so that residents can access free, confidential counseling 24/7. The National Association of School Psychologists has resources for parents on talking with children about COVID-19, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness has a general resource guide as well.

SAMHSA’s Disaster Distress Helpline is a toll-free, multilingual, confidential crisis support service that connects any U.S. resident in need to a trained crisis counselor; call 1-800-985-5990 or text “TalkWithUs” to 66746.

Free Subscription for Noggin:

Noggin is committed to providing high-quality, digital learning experiences for your kids. They are currently offering their service FREE for 90 days in partnership with their friends at First Book. Families should sign up before Monday, August 31st to access. Sign up here.

Additional resources are being listed on the City of New Orleans’ Coronavirus Resident Assistance page as they become available.
