Summer Boost

 

Welcome to FirstLine Schools virtual Summer Boost program! Classes will start on Monday, June 1st, and will run until Friday, June 26th. The opportunity to attend Summer Boost is for all 2019-20 FirstLine students in grades K-8th. Classes are held online Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm and will focus on our ELA and Math curriculums.

How to Join Summer Boost

To join any live class, student(s) must be logged into their FirstLine Schools email account.

Please note that you will not be able to enter the live classroom through Google Meet until the teacher has started the class at 8:30AM.

Need Help Logging In?

If you do not know your student’s email account information, you can reach out to your student’s Dean here for support. You can also request technology support from our IT team following the directions here. 

 

KINDERGARTEN – 2ND GRADE STUDENTS

Step 1: Make sure you are logged into your FirstLine account
STEP 3: Find your classroom on the list and join!

 

3RD – 8TH GRADE STUDENTS
Step 1: Make sure you are logged into your FirstLine account
Step 2: Go to classroom.google.com
Step 3: Your “live class” Google Meet is linked in the header of your Google Classroom. Click to join! (*If you have trouble, you can post a comment in the Google Classroom and your teacher can help.)

 

ESYP STUDENTS
Step 1: Make sure you are logged into your FirstLine account
Step 2: Go to meet.google.com
Step 3: Type in the code provided by the teacher (first initial and last name)

We are very excited to announce our role in participating in the coordinated city-wide feeding plan to serve our city’s children, organized by NOLA-Public Schools. Details on specific locations throughout the city where you can get meals for your child(ren) can be found here.

Free Online Academic Resources: 

Free online tutoring for students – HomeworkLouisiana, a service of the State Library of Louisiana, has extended its free online tutoring hours to support students during remote learning.

Free Audio Books through Audible: You can now instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids while schools are closed. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet. Explore the collection, select a title, and start listening here. 

Abdo Zoom Distance Learning: ABDO wants to ensure that young learners everywhere continue to have the opportunity to learn and grow during this unprecedented event. The Abdo Zoom Databases are available for free now through June 2020 and are available for access here.
